# Jobbyz Claude application starter

Version 1.0 — 2026-09-09

Claude works only with roles you have already put in Jobbyz **Shortlisted**. It
uses your own browser session and your own application material. It does not use
the Codex scanner `.env` or its token.

## Prepare your private material

1. In Jobbyz, open **Application profile** and create your profile, resume and
   cover-letter template.
2. Copy `applicant.template.md` to `applicant.md` in a private local folder.
   Fill it with facts you are comfortable using in an application.
3. Keep `applicant.md`, downloaded resumes and browser-session files out of Git.

## Start safely

Sign in to production Jobbyz in your browser with your own email. Start with:

```text
/apply-shortlisted --dry-run
```

The dry run only lists whether shortlisted roles have a usable URL, selected
resume and cover letter. It does not visit an ATS, submit an application or
change Jobbyz.

For a live run, Claude handles one role at a time. Before the final submit it
must show you the employer, role, exact resume, application language and drafted
wording, then wait for your explicit approval for that one application.

## Hard limits

- Never create an ATS account, set a password, grant OAuth or solve a CAPTCHA.
- Never invent a missing answer. Ask you instead.
- Do not mark a Jobbyz role applied until the ATS success is verified.
- After verification, use Jobbyz's **Mark as applied** action so its existing
  promotion and duplicate checks run.
- A failed, skipped or unverified attempt remains Shortlisted.
